pTracker is a provider of applications for mobile devices.

We are creating a series of apps, each a News Discovery Tool focused on a specific topic. Fundamentally, these apps are made by carving out slices of next-generation, enterprise-class news search technology, repackaging that functionality to be consistent with the iPhone user experience, and making it available to individuals in an affordable and easy to use tool.

We aim to lessen the burdens caused by information overload, which results from the extraordinary abundance of data added to the global knowledge base every day. A consequence of this barrage is that important bits of news can be easily overlooked.

We offer a way for individuals, who are either spending too much time refining searches and combing through results, or going about their business with insufficient information, to quickly zoom into the news that matters to them in particular. Then by employing the app's unique cross-searching capabilities, we can reveal previously unknown relationships between these topics of interest, allowing users to discover what they need to know, before they knew to look for it.

The company was founded in January 2009 by Erwin Mazariegos, and is based in Austin, TX, the live music capital of the world.
